Now the "Giant Crane" has become the "Candy Crane" for Nekoosa's Hometown Christmas Celebration.  It was a challenge to get it standing again, but it was accomplished.

Now the conversion.  The "Giant Crane" is in the process of becoming "The Candy Crane" which will be displayed at the local town Christmas celebration.

These kids sit carefully between the stripes.  There were only a few paint incidents.

Carefully transporting it down the hall and through the doors.  Hopefully, it won't get stuck in the doorway.

How else do you move a "giant origami crane" but call a parent with a pick up truck.  He had to be securely tied down since winds were gusting nearly 20 miles per hour that day.

Check out the brave dad on a ladder.  It is now stuffed with cardboard to help with support.  It is rather heavy for the kids.  The "Candy Crane" needs to go on a diet after the holidays and lose some weight.  It was rather chilly outside the day we put it up.  The high temperature for the day was only about 15 degrees.

Here is the proud class of Craniacs who helped to put up the "Candy Crane."

Finally, it is all decked out for Christmas.  Right after it was hung, the neatest thing happened.  There was a gust of wind that got caught up right under it and it looked as if it took flight.  It happened three times, but each happened so quickly, the camera was unable to catch the phenomena.

Here is a 4th grader in the park on the day of the celebrations.  As you can see, the crane is getting rather droopy.

Unfortunately, the snow wiped out the "Candy Crane."  It was only able to withstand about 2 inches of snow before being put to rest in a dumpster in town.  It was fun while it lasted.
